is this week's song at Scrapping the Music. I've never heard of it nor of the artist Basia Bulat. This was Jessica's song choice and what a great choice. The more I listen to it, the more moved I am by it. I actually grabbed Brandon tonight and slowed danced with him. He just looked at me and smiled. I guess I was giving him the googly eyes again. There is no denying how much I love this man, no matter how many times he gets on my shit list. I've been very sentimental lately thinking of him, our dating years, our engagement and our marriage. So I thought it fitting that my take this week would feature my favorite photograph from our wedding. So without out further ado, here is the full reveal of my layout this week:
I used my Cricut machine, some vintage music sheets, layered some satin ribbons, florals, bling and glittered chipboard letters from Lil Davis. Lots of beautiful Pink Paislee goodness just like my good friend Dawn predicted. Speaking of Dawn she called me at work today all giggly and excited about something way freaking cool. I will let her spill her good news on her blog. I'm happy for you my friend.
Now I did mention that I had received some happy mail earlier last week. This is something truly unique and very special and meaningful to me. It is a layout by the great Allison Schubert.
She does not think she's so great, but trust me, she truly is. I call her my Pioneer cause she is the first courageous scrapbooker I've seen that created some really deep layouts dealing with some serious topics. It is because of her that I've been letting go some of my demons and putting them down on paper. My photograph of this piece does not do it justice. I keep running my fingers over it, soaking it all in. Moved by the message, it's beauty and just touched by the generosity of someone I've only met online. Thank you Allison. I will end this for now, there is more, but I will share tomorrow. Believe it or not I actually did some more scrapping and I will share tomorrow when the timing is right, along with some more photos of the happy mail I had received.
Goodnight my dear friends, wishing you all sweet and peaceful dreams.
A.
