I say to Bella. I just spent over an hour in bed with that little girl of mine. Just listening to her talk and sing to me.  I cherish these tender moments.  I rather do nothing else than be with my children.  Joshua is next as he is hinting around that he wants me to tuck him into bed.  So off I go but before I do, as promised, here is my layout for Scrapping the Music.  New challenge is up and it is due next Saturday, midnight.

I just love the Martha Stewart scalloped edge punches and I am making good use out of them.

I've been moving and a groovin....

getting my stuff done!  I stayed up late again last night, working on my journal for circle journal 2 group.  We will ship out this weekend and I hadn't even started my journal.  Nothing like waiting to almost the last minute, but I tend to work well under pressure.  This project is no exception.  Here's a photo of my cover.  Isn't it yummy?

The theme for my journal is "My favorite film or show."  I bet you all know what my favorite show is.  I am pleasantly pleased and surprised as how the journal is evolving.  Can't wait to complete it and post it in full form. 

So I'm almost done with Twilight and hoping to start New Moon.  Yes, I'm trying to read all three by the 1st (midnight).  I am thinking of attending the book release party at my neighborhood Barnes & Noble.  We'll see.  So far so good. 

Well gotta run, have to clean the 2nd bathroom for the day and put some folded laundry away.  Will be back later to post my layout for Scrapping the Music in full.  New challenge goes up tonight, so check us out.

I caved....

and bought these books.  My curiosity peeked with all the buzz and excitement surrounding the series, the movie and the upcoming release of the fourth and final installment, that I wanted to check it out for myself.  I would like to read them all before the fourth book is released on August 2, so naturally I've been busy. 

It's nice to be reading again.  One of many of my lists of "must dos".  I have stacks of books that I have to read and hanging out in a bookstore is one of my favorite things to do.  For many years as a child my family did not own a television, so I read a lot to occupy my time.  Trust me, I don't feel like I missed out--in not having a television that is. 

So we are getting ready to launch shipping of the journals in my Circle Journal Group 1.  I already sent off Judi's journal to the next person in line.  I'm happy that I was head of schedule and it made it to it's next location safe and intact.  You just don't know about the mail these days.  Here is my entry for Judi's journal.  Her journal theme is about unexpected treasures.  So I made a layout about Joshua's George or "Georgie" as he is lovingly referred to. 

Journaling reads:  He is more than just a stuffed toy.  He is and has been my son's companion since birth.  He is his confidant, his travel companion, his sleepy time friend and his protector.  "Georgie is irreplaceable.  He is a part of my son's daily existence, a treasure for sure.

Finally....I finished up my layout for the next Scrapping the Music challenge.  This is one of the unfinished projects I mentioned that was on my dining room table for weeks.  Do you want a peek?  Here you go....

I covet these....

 Aren't they gorgeous! I want them all!  I had seen how it was used on her layout.  I instantly had to have some.  Since I don't have a scrapbook store around, I tried to check online and came up empty. My good pal Denise came to my aid and sent me some in pink, green, ivory and brown.  Thank you so much Denise, you are my hero.  They feel as yummy as they look. Just extremely soft.  I can wait to use them. They are by May Arts and if any of you know where I can score some more, please let me know.

My favorite 4 letter word....

Gotcha!  Nope it's not that----the infamous "f" word.  Although in certain circumstances...keeping it clean folks, I'm keeping it clean. 

My favorite four letter word is actually "COKE".  As in Coca-Cola.  Yes, this bad baby had been my lover for years, although not necessarily good for me, it sure tastes sinfully delicious.  Especially that first ice cold sip....ahhhhhh. 

But no, I bid thee farewell.  I have decided to quit--cold turkey.  It's been two weeks and counting.  I'm surprised I don't have the shakes.  What I hate to admit is that at one point I was drinking five or more of these bad babies a day. 

But no, I have decided it's time to shake this addiction.  So goodbye my lover.  You have been replaced by Dasani water.

Bella pulled an all nighter on us last night.  I literally have been up since 3:00 a.m.  I have to make this post quick.  I wanted to share my layout I created for Scrapping the Music.  The song this week is an old 80's favorite from the Cars, "Magic."  The layouts my fellow DT members created are fabulous, check them out.  I decided to use a verse from the song "hold on you", thus the title of my layout. 

Joshua knows for sure he has a hold on his momma.  Everytime I look at that boy he captivates me.  I used my January Studio Calico kit to create this layout which is simple in design, but took me a while.  Yeah, I'm super slow.  It's okay.  Hope your week is starting off better than mine.  My bed is calling my name.  Later friends.

Makes me smile...

I haven't done of one of these posts in a while.  The above is a piece of artwork that I purchased from Etsy a while ago.  The artist Lisa, resides in Alaska.  It's called "Solitude" and it's so hauntingly beautiful.  Anyway I finally framed it and I love it so much, that for now, I'm leaving it on my dresser, so it's pretty much the first thing I see in the morning. Makes me smile.

and now for a new segment of my bloggy blog.  Makes me laugh....

The prodigal blogger returns...

yeah, I know, I know.  I've been a very slow blogger lately.  Honestly, I've been a funk slump and the way I handle that is to just let myself "be". 

Meaning, I need to just veg. not stress so much about deadlines, chores, just life's little hurdles in general.  This also includes to step away from the blogging, especially since Typepad has been nothing but a complete headache to work with. 

Now I have been sort of scrapping.  I start projects and then lose interest or steam.  I think my mojo is on vacation.  Ha.  So things are just sitting on my dining room table just waiting for me to come back and complete them.  I did start on my circle journal for the second group, but realized, the book I chose does not have enough pages to accommodate what I want to do.  So I'm going to have to order another one (book/journal) to get the additional pages I need.  Now, I can make my own--pages that is, but it would be quite a task and I just don't have the willingness or patience.  It's just easier for me to get another book. 

I did stay up to 3:30 a.m. last night and completed my layout for the upcoming challenge at Scrapping the Music.  I went simple this time and actually played with my January kit from Studio Calico.  I'm trying to get better about using my stuff instead of just letting them sit around looking pretty.  Yes, I know, I'm a strange cat.  Here is a sneak peek of my layout.

Now regarding challenges, I owe several of my talented buddies some participation on my behalf for their respective challenge sites.  Don't lose faith in me, I'm just slooooo.  But keep at me, sometimes I do need the push. 

Also there have been some new faces leaving comments here and I appreciate your comments and your visits.  I do generally try to reciprocate and also write back.  I enjoy making new friends, albeit online.  It also gives me the opportunity to check out your blogs and see what you all been up to.  For example Adrienne, she's one cool sister.  She can sew...something I cannot do, but want to.  She's going to inspire me to get the needle and thread out.  I've been collecting fabric already. 

I am also trying to actually use my Netflix account instead of having the movies sit in my armoire for six months at a time.  I've watched this.  

I'm going to be honest and say that I had been looking forward to seeing P.S. I Love You and was pretty disappointed.  The main characters did not seem to have a geniune chemistry and quite frankly Hillary Swank got on my f-ing nerves.  I loved her in her former serious roles, but in this film, not so much.  Too bad because the book is phenomenal.  I also watched this movie.

Now Waitress was GREAT!  If you haven't done so, get it and watch it.  That is all I'm going to say.
